Another popular meeting place is the Arnold Palmer Golf Course, an 18-hole course that provides the geographic backbone to the Aviara community.

While Aviara was designed with entertainment for adults in mind, children are well taken care of. Students attend the Aviara Oaks Elementary and Middle Schools. High school students go to Carlsbad High School for an excellent public school education. There are several private schools in the Aviara area as well.

There is no one, singular demographic that lives in Aviara. The planners designed the community with so many types of living arrangements so that it would not be pigeonholed. Single professionals, families and retired people all call this beautiful area home. Homes range in price from about $580,000 to over $2 million. The average home sales price in February 2006 was $758,411. People who move here tend to settle here, and it can be difficult to get into the Aviara real estate market.
